Elnora Wiggins Walker is the niece of the famous "Blind" Tom Wiggins. In 1976 a new marker was provided for "Blind" Tom Wiggin's grave at Westmoreland. At the dedication were family members Carrie E.  According to her death certificate, she was 102 years old at time of death.

This history was provided by Hazel Louise Walker Byrd, born June 17, 1918. She was 91 years old at the time this information was gathered.

Elnora Wiggins' father called her while she was teaching school in Cussetta, GA and told her that a friend of his needed a wife. Her father then took her to marry this man whose name was Anderson Walker. Elnora and Anderson had six children: Anderson Walker, Jr., Earnest Thomas Walker I (was a twin, but the twin died at birth), Julia May Walker, Ida Bell Walker, and Hazel Louise Walker.

King Walker II, Elnora's brother-in-law, would bring bushels of peas and butterbeans to help Elnora with her children. King was a farmer in Chattahoochee county, possibly a sharecropper.

Louella Elizabeth Shipp (1138 East 7th St.) lived next door to Elnora Walker (1134 East 7th St.), which would explain how Louella met her future husband, Ernest Thomas Walker.

Anderson Walker died when Hazel was two years old. He had stroke while working at the brick yard.
