| There is no record of Emma Shipp after the 1900 census. On the 1910 census, Isaac (Ike) Shipp indicated he had 7 children of which 4 are still living. Isaac does not count Harvey Shipp as one of his children by birth although he adopted him. This confirms what Elizabeth Shipp indicated on the 1900 census about having 8 children (including Harvey Shipp). Two of their children for whom we have no name must have been born and died in between censuses. With 4 children by birth confirmed living as of 1910 (Leonidas Henry Shipp, Sr., Joe Shipp, Minnie Shipp Franklin and Stella Shipp Johnson), this is a strong indicator that Emma Shipp died between 1900 and 1910. |
