Charity Wiggins, the old mother of Blind Tom, the wonderful negro musician, died in this city last night, and her remains were carried to Columbus, Ga., for interment tomorrow afternoon in the Bethune plantation. Her remains were accompanied to Columbus by her daughter, Nettis Livus, and it is intended to give her a decent burial. There are no doubt but that the woman lived over 100 years. Her eldest son is past 85. He lives on the plantation of a Dr. Bass on the Chattahoochee River, in Southwest Georgia, and is very feeble. Blind Tom is supposed to be traveling through the North playing the piano.
